Most payouts arrive on schedule. Sometimes a payout is paused while we, or our payment processor Stripe, check something on your account. Here are the most common reasons and what to do about each one.
You recently changed your bank account or debit card
For your security, Instant Payouts pause for 48 hours after you add or update a bank account or debit card. Your earnings still go out as standard payouts during that time. We can't lift this hold early, and Instant Payouts become available again automatically when it ends.
There's no bank account on file
Payouts pause until you add a bank account. Once it's added, your payouts resume on the normal schedule. See Setting Up Payments and Payouts.
Stripe needs to verify your information
Stripe may ask you to confirm your identity, your bank account, or your tax information. Sometimes that means sending proof that you own the bank account, like a bank statement. Stripe also re-checks accounts from time to time, so this can happen even if you've been verified before. Your payouts stay on hold until your information is approved, so check your email and the app for the request and send exactly what it asks for.
Your account is under a routine review
Stripe or StyleSeat sometimes reviews an account's recent activity before releasing funds. Reviews usually take about 48 hours. During a review, your balance may show as available while payouts and Instant Payouts are paused. Your payout goes out automatically once the review is done. We can't release or speed up payouts during a review, and making more changes to your account during a review can extend it.
A refund, chargeback, or loan repayment came out of your balance
Refunds, disputes, and Stripe loan repayments are taken from your balance first, which can make a payout smaller or delay it. If your balance goes negative, Stripe may withdraw the difference from your bank account.
